Banks Films is a Production company based in Los Angeles, California, founded by female film maker and director, Sophia Banks.
Sophia Banks got her start as a commercial director, establishing herself with her fashion short film "Girls Skate" featuring girl skaters carving their way through a moody downtown LA cityscape wearing couture gowns by designer Christian Siriano for Vogue.
It became the beginning to a continual success in the commercial world as she went on to shoot commercials for brands such as: BMW, Pepsi, Ford and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
With a passion for and strength in all things VFX, Sophia went on to co-write and direct her first narrative short film "Unregistered" which went on to make its world premiere at the 2019 TriBeCa Film Festival, garnering attention from SHOOT Mag, Anthem and many other publications.
Sophia and her team at Banks Films hit the the ground running from there and jumped into development in both television and feature film projects, covering topics from politics, climate change and the darker side of social media, Banks Films seeks out and creates content that pulls the viewer in and immerses them in larger-than-life stories, begging to be told.
